Why we're hiring:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Programme / Product Delivery Lead to strengthen delivery leadership within the People Data & Insights team. This pivotal role will own the end-to-end delivery orchestration for WPP's global people data product, ensuring work is prioritised, sequenced, and delivered consistently across multiple dependencies and diverse stakeholders.
This role is critical for improving delivery confidence and enabling leadership to focus on strategic direction and future state design, thereby reducing the current reliance on senior leadership for day-to-day coordination and escalation.
What you'll be doing:
- Own and maintain the integrated delivery plan for the global people data product across all critical workstreams (e.g., core data, reporting, regulatory compliance like EU Pay Transparency, integrations with Workday and other systems, analytics).
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate dependencies, risks, and delivery trade-offs across various groups, including business platforms, people operations, and other enterprise initiatives.
- Act as the primary escalation point for delivery issues, ensuring timely decision-making and providing clear direction to overcome obstacles.
- Translate overarching strategic priorities and product vision into executable delivery plans, concrete milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate delivery efforts seamlessly across engineering, analytics, and diverse stakeholder groups (People/HR teams, Enterprise Technology, Network representatives) to ensure alignment, maintain momentum, and drive progress.
- Establish and continuously refine effective ways of working, delivery frameworks, and road-mapping processes to enhance efficiency and predictability.
- Ensure transparent and consistent communication regarding delivery status, challenges, and successes to all relevant stakeholders, including senior leadership.
What you'll need:
- Experience in programme management, product delivery, or a senior project management role within a data, technology, or complex enterprise environment.
- Proven track record of successfully orchestrating and delivering complex data or technology products across multiple teams and geographical locations.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience implementing pragmatic delivery approaches.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage integrated delivery plans, dependencies, and risks across various workstreams.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans and tangible deliverables.
