An adaptable and forward-thinking approach, with the ability to embrace new ideas and improved ways of working while maintaining a strong understanding of claims governance, controls and relevant Lloyd's market requirements. Demonstrable experience overseeing claims portfolios across multiple lines of insurance business, encompassing both first-party and third-party claims, ideally within the Lloyd's or wider London Market. A proven track record of developing and implementing effective claims oversight frameworks, supported by a strong technical understanding of claims handling and portfolio management. Experience managing relationships with third-party claims administrators, delegated claims handlers and other external service providers, ensuring appropriate oversight, accountability and performance monitoring. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, demonstrate empathy and contribute positively to a team-oriented environment. Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to interpret complex information, present recommendations and take ownership of resolving problems. A sound understanding of reserving principles and their importance throughout the claims lifecycle, including the assessment and monitoring of individual claims and overall portfolio performance. Experience using analytical techniques to interpret claims data, identify trends and emerging issues, and translate findings into meaningful insights that support informed business decisions.
