We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack to join our London team. In this role, you’ll help us build and scale seamless, high-performance features that span our entire stack, ensuring a world-class experience for our customers, partners, and riders.

What You’ll Be Doing
This role is based in our London office with a hybrid setup, typically 3 days in the office.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Drive technical execution by designing, building, and scaling backend services and frontend components that handle high-traffic workloads (20krpm and above).
Lead architectural improvements and code reviews, ensuring the efficiency, visibility, and operational health of your team's systems.
Partner with cross-functional disciplines (PMs, Experience Designers) to plan projects, foresee dependencies, and mitigate technical risks.
Break down complex problems into deliverable choices, influencing the roadmap and technical direction within your team.
Support the growth of others by mentoring colleagues and taking an active role in our engineering hiring process to build high-performing teams.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Significant experience building web-based applications in a modern stack; we use Go, Ruby, Python, and Scala, and we’re looking for someone keen to work across them.
Proven ability to design and operate web architecture at scale , specifically with systems handling significant request volumes.
Demonstrated ownership of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience with "NoSQL" backends such as Redis, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch.
A commitment to software craft , with a pride in writing readable, well-designed, and thoroughly tested code.
Strong collaborative leadership skills , with a track record of guiding implementation choices and supporting the personal growth of teammates.
