Production Operations Supervisor
Join our team and help orchestrate live and recorded productions in a dynamic broadcast environment! As Production Operations Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operational delivery from our West London facilities, supporting multiple teams and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead operational efforts for Chiswick productions, representing Production Operations in meetings and serving as key liaison with Production Management.
- Ensure clear communication of production information and event requirements across relevant departments.
- Collaborate closely with Production Resource, Technical Operations, London Bookings and Engineering teams to ensure event details align and updates are promptly shared.
- Support planning and delivery of gallery positions, studio rigs, production set-ups, and associated production needs.
- Verify resource allocation documents and systems to confirm appropriate coverage for productions and correct booking of Technical Operators and FACS testing requirements.
- Monitor bookings systems to confirm correct resource allocation, Technical Operator bookings, and FACS testing requirements.
- Maintain visible presence during live productions, supporting escalation, feedback, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate studio maintenance scheduling while respecting production requirements and communicating plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure all studio maintenance, production activity, and operational deliverables adhere to Risk Assessments and Health & Safety standards.
- Coordinate allocation, bookings, and upkeep of green rooms, make-up rooms, and production support spaces.
- Support maintenance of service facilities, ensuring shared information areas remain updated with policies, guidance, and operational information.
- Identify operational or facility risks early and ensure appropriate action to protect live output.
- Assist with production confirmations, tracking call-time changes and overtime requirements as needed.
- Maintain accurate budget and cost tracking documentation, recording changes and approvals.
- Support coordination of freelance bookings, confirmations, availability, and operational updates for teams to receive clear documentation and production information.
- Support Production Operations Manager in documenting and distributing new workflows, system integrations, and technical facility updates.
- Assist with rollout of operational process changes, ensuring teams understand new systems and expectations.
- Provide guidance and development plans to support growth within the business for Production Operations Coordinators.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working in live broadcast, studio production, or production operations environments.
- Strong understanding of production workflows, studio operations, and live production processes.
- Experience supporting live sports or fast-paced multi-production environments (desirable).
- Strong problem-solving skills with confidence to escalate issues appropriately.
- Working knowledge of scheduling systems, production booking, and resource allocation workflows.
- Understanding of Risk Assessments, Health & Safety requirements, and safe production practices.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and build effective working relationships.
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach to supporting live productions.
