Sales Executive
Job description
Business Development Representative – Sponsorship Sales (Tech & Gaming Events)
£32,000 basic + lucrative bonus
London (hybrid – 2 days per week in the office)
We are working with a highly innovative and fast-growing international events company operating exclusively within the tech and gaming space. They produce market-leading conferences for the global gaming industry and are one of the very few organisers truly specialising in this sector.
The business has grown significantly over the last few years, and due to the continued success of their events, they are now expanding their sales team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone currently working in delegate sales who is keen to move into sponsorship sales, with genuine training, progression and support rather than being thrown in at the deep end.
The role
You will join the business as a Business Development Representative, working closely with the Head of Sponsorship Sales, who is known internally for being supportive, collaborative and genuinely great to work for.
For the first few months, the role is designed as a structured transition into sponsorship sales. You will initially focus on generating high-quality meetings and supporting sponsorship activity, while learning the industry, market and commercial model. As your knowledge grows, you will gradually be handed accounts and begin managing sponsorship relationships directly.
This is very much a long-term development role into a full sponsorship sales position.
Key responsibilities
- Generating meetings and qualified leads for sponsorship opportunities across international gaming and tech conferences
- Supporting the Head of Sponsorship Sales with account management and commercial activity
- Learning how to sell sponsorship packages across multiple events and portfolios
- Working on multi-show and multi-event sponsorship deals
- Cross-selling sponsorship, exhibition and media packages
- Building relationships with senior decision-makers across the gaming and tech ecosystem
- Managing and updating CRM systems accurately
- Attending international events and conferences across Europe, Asia and the US
- Representing the brand on-site at events, including networking sessions and client functions
What they are looking for
- Experience in delegate sales, B2B sales or a commercial events role
- A genuine interest in gaming, tech or the wider digital entertainment space
- Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with senior stakeholders
- Ambition to move into sponsorship sales and build a long-term career in events
- A proactive, positive and commercially minded approach
- Someone who enjoys fast-paced environments and being part of a sociable, high-energy team
Why this role stands out
- Clear progression from delegate sales into sponsorship sales with training and mentorship
- Exposure to high-value sponsorship deals and international clients
- Regular international travel to exciting destinations
- A fun, social events business with a strong culture (these are not traditional corporate B2B conferences)
- Themed after-parties, networking experiences and genuinely enjoyable events
- A supportive leadership team who invest in developing their people
If you are currently in delegate sales and looking for a structured, supportive step into sponsorship sales within one of the most exciting sectors in events, this is a brilliant opportunity.
