Opening Paragraph:
We are looking for a Band 6 Locum Physiotherapist to join the Royal London Hospital team within the Barts Health NHS Foundation Trust. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a senior physiotherapist with experience in acute hospital settings to coordinate and facilitate patient discharges. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient transfers from acute wards to onward services, contributing to the smooth operation of the hospital’s discharge processes. You will manage complex cases, ensuring that patients are safely discharged with appropriate support in place. The role requires flexibility to cover the 7-day service, including shifts over weekends and public holidays. - Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Extensive discharge experience within an acute hospital setting
- Experience working as a Senior Physiotherapist, ideally with a focus on discharge coordination
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and handle complex discharge planning
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to contribute to a 7-day service, including public holidays
- Enhanced DBS check required
