Junior Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ST1-2 level)
- Current GMC registration and Licenced Practitioner
- MRCOG part 1
- Experience of working as a SHO
- Ability to provide complete details of employment history
- Minimum 6 months UK NHS experience
- Experience of working in O&G at Fy2 level
- Clinical Knowledge & Expertise: Appropriate knowledge base and ability to apply sound clinical judgement to problems. Capacity for excellent clinical & diagnostic skills & judgement. Demonstrates ability to prioritise clinical need & to look at the social context of medical problems. Demonstrates clear understanding of obstetric practice in the UK
- Personal Attributes: Shows aptitude for practical skills, e.g. manual dexterity
- Completion of relevant courses, e.g. Basic Surgical Skills Course
- Demonstrates understanding of the basic principles of audit and potential to contribute to development in O&G
- Evidence of interest and experience in participating in audit
- Research Skills: Demonstrates understanding of the basic principles of audit & research and potential to contribute to development in O&G
- Research: Evidence of interest and experience in participating in research
- Evidence of active participation in audit
- Teaching: Evidence of interest and experience in teaching
- All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English that are adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues which could be demonstrated by one of the following: a) that applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English; or b) have the following scores in the academic international English Language Testing System (IELTS) - Overall 7, Speaking 7, Listening 6, Reading 6, Writing 6.
