Senior Professional Practices Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Global Internal Audit (GIA) Team in the role of Senior Professional Practices Specialist, Global Internal Audit Methodology.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping how GIA evolves its methodology and standards. Working closely with senior leaders in Professional Practices, you’ll help drive improvement to audit policies, support change initiatives, and influence how methodology is applied across the function. This is a highly visible opportunity to contribute to the future direction of GIA while building strong relationships across global audit community.

In this role you will:
- Support the development and implementation of GIA methodology, policies and standards aligned with industry best practice
- Work with senior audit stakeholders to enhance audit approaches, tools and processes across the function
- Contribute to methodology updates, audit quality initiatives and strategic change programmes
- Help translate regulatory developments and industry standards into practical audit guidance
- Support initiatives that strengthen audit capability and improve the effectiveness and consistency of assurance activities.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience within Internal Audit, risk, compliance, or financial services with an understanding of audit frameworks and standards
- Knowledge of audit methodologies and regulatory expectations within banking or financial services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a global and matrix environment whilst managing multiple competing priorities
