Physiotherapist (Special Educational Needs) Location: Hillingdon, West London Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Start Date: ASAP Are you a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist looking to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities? Do you have the passion and expertise to help pupils develop mobility, confidence, and independence in a supportive school environment? Uniform Education is recruiting a dedicated Physiotherapist for a specialist SEN school in Hillingdon. The school provides education and therapy for pupils with a range of complex physical and learning needs, including PMLD, SLD, and physical disabilities. About the Role: As a Physiotherapist, you will: * Assess and deliver physiotherapy programmes to pupils with physical, neurological, and developmental needs * Work collaboratively with teachers, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists to support EHCP outcomes * Use specialist equipment and manual handling techniques to promote physical development and mobility * Support pupils in accessing learning through adapted movement and posture management strategies * Provide guidance and training to school staff on safe handling and physical support techniques * Maintain accurate therapy records and contribute to multidisciplinary reviews and reports What We’re Looking For: * HCPC-registered Physiotherapist (essential) * Experience working with children or young people with physical disabilities or complex needs (school or NHS setting desirable) * Knowledge of postural management, hydrotherapy, and equipment use (e.g. standing frames, hoists) * Confident in manual handling and safe movement techniques * Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to care * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
