Head of Commercial Finance
About Us

But that’s not all – we’re also on a mission to make sure that every single ticket sold has a positive impact on all stakeholders – our team, our planet and the communities we operate in. We call this "Growth on Purpose" and are proud to be a certified B Corp, officially putting business for good at the centre of everything we do.
This year, 22 million tickets and over $1bn of order value will be placed through the platform, on behalf of over 50k global event creators. Our event creators run a wide variety of events from art installations to water parks, workshops to sell out festivals, and everything in between. We have a world-class NPS score, and pride ourselves in building a simple yet powerful platform, built with a customer-first mindset.
We're a fully independent, profitable, and bootstrapped company meaning we don’t have to answer to anyone except ourselves and our customers, allowing us to scale the company sustainably and with soul.
We are on an exciting growth trajectory that has seen us 5x revenues in 5 years, gaining significant market share and expanding into more sectors and regions – all in our own sustainable and balanced approach.

Translating complex data and detail into clear strategic decisions and outcomes
Building deep cross-functional relationships and presenting strategy to leadership
Supporting our accountancy firm and internal ops team with ongoing activities and finance best practice
Becoming the key finance stakeholder and expert on how payments, pricing, tax and finances are handled and processed across Ticket Tailor
This position is available full-time or part-time at four days per week with a salary banding of £90,000 - £110,000 as full-time or pro-rata £72,000 - £88,000 for 4 days per week + profit share.

Create tailored narratives from large volumes of data to support decision-making and strategic planning
Present strategies and outcomes confidently to leadership
Team and process
Contribute to our broader team vision - establishing goals, priorities, and milestones, and acquiring the buy-in, resources and help needed for successful execution
Support our accountancy firm and internal ops team with finance activities - implementing opportunistic best practice and process improvement
About you
To succeed in this role, you'll demonstrate:
Relevant commercial success: experience in Financial Planning and Accounting (FP&A), Strategy, pricing, or another commercially analytical field, where you’ve delivered meaningful and quantifiable outcomes, resulting in commercial success
Industry know-how: ideally you bring experience in the payments sector as that will be a key focus of the role, but experience at a scaled ticketing platform, ecommerce brand or marketplace will also be highly relevant.
An AI enabled analytics pro: comfortable building reports and dashboards yourself, ideally with a working knowledge of SQL, Google Data Studios and experience with visualisation tools such as Looker or Tableau. You're proactive with incorporating AI into how you work - using it to speed up analysis, modelling, and reporting.
Commercially and strategically minded: a strong balance of natural commercial instincts with rigorous attention to detail
Comfortable with complexity: able to move between granular detail and clear strategic recommendations
Hands-on and low-ego: no task too big or too small - you're happy to roll up your sleeves and thrive in a flat structure where you're as comfortable executing a process, as you are running a strategic workshop with the leadership team
At Ticket Tailor, we’re passionate about creating a diverse and inclusive environment where people can thrive, be inspired, and feel comfortable to be themselves.
As a Certified B-Corp, we lead from the front, and with purpose, to disrupt the ticketing industry while ensuring we accommodate and celebrate people of all backgrounds along the way.
We believe that diverse teams enable us to have different perspectives and points of view, making us even stronger in achieving our goals. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply and join us on our mission.
The Process
If your application is shortlisted, then you will receive detailed information about the next stages of the process.
As an outline, the process will include:
An initial discovery call to learn more about you, your motivation, suitability for the position and to clarify any questions you have (15 - 30 minutes)
A remote interview with the Hiring Manager and another member of the Leadership Team (up to 1 hour)
A task, to complete in your own time to present at final stage (this should take no longer than 2 hours to complete)
An on-site interview with the Leadership team and wider team members
Timelines
We’ll review applications as they’re received and invite suitable candidates to an initial conversation on a rolling basis. The role will be advertised until 30th August. We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible, although we reserve the right to extend the advertising period if required.
A note on using AI in your application
You’re welcome to use AI to help structure, refine or proofread your answers. However, your responses should accurately reflect your own skills, experience and achievements.
If you’re shortlisted, you should be prepared to discuss and expand on your responses during the interview.
Bear in mind that hiring teams read a large number of applications. Responses that rely heavily on AI can sometimes feel generic, so taking the time to make your application personal and specific will help it stand out.
