Engineering Leader

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will lead engineering strategy, infrastructure improvements, reliability initiatives, asset performance optimization, continuous improvement efforts, and capital investment planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering strategy to align with organizational goals and objectives.
• Lead central engineering activities and continuous improvement initiatives, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Coordinate engineering function across multiple sites, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
• Drive improvements to reliability, asset performance, and engineering standards.
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets and ensure effective resource allocation.
• Influence stakeholders across matrix organizations and diverse groups to achieve common goals.
• Build credibility and strong relationships to gain buy-in and support for engineering initiatives.
• Balance long-term strategic priorities with immediate operational demands to ensure sustainable performance.

Requirements

• Proven engineering leadership experience with demonstrated success in complex environments.
• Safety-first mindset and commitment to maintaining safe working practices.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with a collaborative approach.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries such as heavy industrial manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure, building materials, chemicals, energy-intensive manufacturing or large-scale operational asset management.
• Chartered or professionally qualified engineering credentials.
• Strong electrical and/or multi-disciplinary engineering expertise.
• Experience operating within complex operational environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience leading engineering initiatives with matrix organizations

Working Conditions
