UK Managing Partner - Start up

London | Significant six-figure package + equity | Founding leadership opportunity

This is not a conventional Audit Partner role.

We are working exclusively with a well-funded, technology-led European professional services business as it launches into the UK market. With substantial institutional backing, an established operation in Europe and ambitious international growth plans, the business is now looking to appoint its founding UK Managing Partner.

The initial focus will be audit, with the longer-term ambition to build a broader, full-service professional services firm across the UK.

At the centre of the proposition is a belief that the traditional audit model is ready for significant change. Technology and AI will be embedded into the way the firm operates from the outset, creating a more efficient, scalable, and forward-thinking audit business.

The UK Managing Partner will have the opportunity to build that business from the ground up.

The opportunity

Working directly with the founders and wider European leadership team, you will:

• Establish and lead the UK audit business

• Build the firm's reputation and presence within the UK market

• Recruit and develop a high-quality Partner and senior leadership team

• Attract and grow a significant portfolio of audit clients

• Help shape the firm's UK strategy, culture and operating model

• Play a key role in developing the broader UK professional services offering over time

• Work alongside a highly ambitious international leadership team with significant capital available to support growth

This is a genuine build opportunity, rather than inheriting an established structure and being asked to operate within it.

Who are we looking for?

We are interested in speaking with established Audit Partners who have the credibility, commerciality and ambition to lead a significant new entrant into the UK market.

You are likely to be currently operating within the Big Four, Top 10 or a substantial mid-tier accountancy firm, with a strong track record of client development and leadership.

However, your mindset will be just as important as your CV.

We are looking for someone who:

• Believes the audit profession is going to change materially through technology and AI

• Is excited by the opportunity to build rather than maintain

• Has strong commercial instincts and an entrepreneurial mindset

• Can attract clients, Partners and high-quality people

• Has the gravitas to represent and lead a new firm in the UK

• Is comfortable challenging established ways of working

• Wants genuine influence, autonomy and ownership in the next stage of their career

You do not necessarily need to be a current Managing Partner. An outstanding Audit Partner with the ambition and capability to step into a broader leadership position could be equally compelling.
