A Big 4 firm is looking to appoint an Accounting Services Senior Manager to join its growing Accounting Services team in London.

This team provides high-quality outsourced accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base ranging from national businesses to large multinational organisations. The focus is on helping clients remain compliant with statutory requirements while also delivering strategic insight into their financial operations.

You'll be joining a technically strong, collaborative and commercially focused team that works closely with specialists across the wider business. The role offers exposure to a prestigious portfolio of clients, complex international assignments, and significant opportunities to influence client strategy and business growth.

What you will be doing as an Accounting Services Senior Manager:

• Oversee and lead the delivery of complex accounting and financial reporting engagements across a diverse client portfolio
• Act as a senior advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on accounting, financial reporting, and operational matters
• Take ownership of large, often multinational client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders
• Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements, including for complex and cross-border group structures
• Oversee outsourced accounting engagements, including management accounts, financial reporting, and finance function support
• Drive improvements in clients' financial reporting processes, including optimisation of the statutory reporting cycle
• Manage and coordinate global engagements, working with international teams and ensuring consistency of delivery
• Provide technical leadership on UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant reporting frameworks
• Lead, mentor, and develop managers and junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture
• Oversee multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring delivery to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
• Work closely with Partners and Directors on client strategy, retention, and growth initiatives
• Play a key role in business development, including identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, and expanding service offerings

What you will need to succeed as an Accounting Services Senior Manager:

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or international equivalent)
• Currently operating at Manager / Senior Manager level within practice or professional services
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise, with the ability to interpret complex issues
• In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, with US GAAP exposure desirable
• Proven experience managing large, complex, and international client engagements
• Strong commercial awareness and experience contributing to business development initiatives
• Experience leading, developing, and managing high-performing teams, including managers
• Advanced Excel skills and strong familiarity with accounting systems and reporting tools
• Ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client relationship skills
