This is a senior FP&A contract role within a central finance function covering financial reporting, planning and analysis, investment accounting, procurement, systems and valuations.
The role will lead on monthly operating expense reporting, forecasting and budgeting, alongside delivering high-quality commercial insight to the CFO and Executive Committee. A key focus will be supporting improvements to reporting and analysis as the organisation implements a restructured general ledger and standardised chart of accounts across its entities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of monthly operating expense reporting (actuals and forecast), delivered to tight deadlines
- Preparation of management information for quarterly management and Board reporting
- Providing commercial insight and analysis to support executive decision-making
- Leading the annual forecast and budget process, coordinating inputs across stakeholders
- Reviewing and improving FP&A processes and reports in line with a new chart of accounts and enhanced reporting tools
- Line management and development of an FP&A executive
- Delivery of ad-hoc analysis for senior finance and executive stakeholders
- Ensuring accurate and timely responses to external data requests and information requirements
- Building strong partnerships across finance to ensure joined-up, consistent reporting
You will bring:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change in a complex environment
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present financial insights clearly to senior stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
- Experience of investment and performance analysis
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
