Are you a dedicated Advanced Clinical Practitioner or willing to train to become an Advanced Clinical Practitioner with a passion for innovation and health equity? Do you want to lead the way in improving outcomes for patients living with sickle cell disease? Join North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust as a Red Cell ACP, a key role in one of the UK’s most forward-thinking haematology initiatives. We are willing to provide funding for training to become an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
• Provide expert clinical assessment, treatment, and care planning for patients with sickle cell disease.
• Lead on clinical decision-making, working autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Prescribe independently in line with national guidance and Trust policy to optimise patient care and streamline pathways.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and staff education.
• Play a key role in building towards a 24/7 service in line with our NHSE commitment. North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches. We are proud of our staff and want to ensure their training allows them to provide excellent clinical care. We are also a training unit for medical students from UCL and St George’s University Grenada, and for nursing and midwifery students from Middlesex and City Universities.
