Cash Prime Brokerage is very much a growth area for Cross Asset Financing as the department capabilities are being expanded into new markets in Asia and North America. This has resulted in several large upticks in budget responsibilities and staffing to support that business area. This is expected to continue into 2026 and beyond in line with the business ambitions. In line with the expansion in the department there is also an expansion of the Risk and Margin requirements of that business.

The Global Head of Cash Prime Technology has accountability for the strategic build-out of the front to back technology platform that supports the cash prime brokerage sub-asset within Cross Asset Financing. The technology supports the critical prime brokerage operation across Cross Asset Financing where clients’ assets worth billions are used as collateral for margin loans. The role is responsible for defining and implementing the future state strategy with peers and senior stakeholders across the Cross Asset Financing Front Office, Securities Services and Operations functions and integrating that technology across multiple asset classes across Markets and Securities services. The role is also accountable for annual regulatory oversight in the CASS (client asset) review which is an FCA requirement. It is also accountable for the key functions of Risk and Margin technology in support of the business.

Job Requirements:

  • Leadership: Own and manage a cross-functional technology team of approximately 100 engineers to deliver innovative and strategic financing, risk, margin and trading solutions.

  • Technical Transformation: Enable the digital transformation (DAP) for the sub value stream focusing on digital capabilities to colleagues and clients, engineering excellence, maturing of agile ways of working and assisting the business to adopt these practices alongside technology.
  • Cost: Ensure rigorous and transparent cost management processes for long term sustainable platform costs.
  • Regulatory: Representing technology for the annual CASS (client asset) review which is an FCA requirement.
