Social Media Manager
Our client is an entrepreneurial, commercially driven organisation scaling rapidly in the direct‑to‑consumer space. With a clear focus on building brand relevance through organic social and creator‑led storytelling, the business is investing in social media as a core growth driver across its portfolio.
Reporting into the Marketing Director, this role will lead both strategy and hands‑on delivery across multiple brands. The successful candidate will take end‑to‑end ownership of social presence, from developing channel strategies and content calendars through to execution, analytics and community engagement. You will work closely with internal brand, commercial, creative and influencer teams, as well as external creators and agencies, to elevate social performance and consistency across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and emerging platforms, aligned with wider brand and commercial objectives
- Define the roadmap for social growth, including expansion onto new and relevant platforms
- Own the social content calendar, overseeing ideation, creation, sourcing, scheduling and optimisation of content
- Create and curate engaging social content, including writing captions, editing video, self‑shooting content where required and working alongside creative teams and creators
- Ensure consistency of brand voice, tone and visual identity across all social channels
- Oversee daily community management, including comments, DMs and proactive engagement to build advocacy and loyalty
- Develop and manage influencer and gifting programmes across multiple tiers, with agency support where required
- Partner closely with influencer, brand marketing, NPD and commercial teams to align social activity with wider campaigns and business priorities
- Track, analyse and report on social performance, using insights to optimise content and inform strategy
- Monitor platform updates, trends and cultural moments to keep content relevant and effective
- Support social activity targeted at US / North American audiences where required
Experience Requirements
- Experience in social media marketing, ideally within beauty, skincare, wellness or health‑adjacent brands
- Proven experience managing and executing social media content across multiple platforms
- Strong hands‑on content creation skills, including copywriting, video editing and visual storytelling
- A strong understanding of social media algorithms, SEO and performance analytics
- Experience working with influencers, creators and advocacy programmes
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple streams of work
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, scaling and entrepreneurial environment
- Confident collaborating cross‑functionally with creative, brand, influencer and commercial teams
- Experience working on or supporting US / North American social activity is advantageous
If you’re a Social Media Manager looking to combine strategic ownership with hands‑on content creation in a fast‑growing consumer business, we would love to hear from you.
