Technical Manager
Technical Manager - London - Hybrid Working Purpose:
- To be the lead of technical excellence for the account or business unit and drive the standardisation of best practices across all contracts
- To provide an internal mutli-skilled consultancy service to the various contracts within the account or business unit and support the incumbent FM teams with solutions to match customer requirements.
- Champion technical solutions & innovations through partnership with CBRE wider network, including supplier alliances.
- Mentor and grow the engineering standard of technical staff including technical apprentices and Appointed Persons (AP’s) ensuring knowledge sharing across the account or business unit.
- Promote safe methods of working ensuring CBRE technical rules and procedures are implemented correctly.
- To be part of or an internal divisional SAP network to support the division FM teams with expected technical services delivery.
- Provide contract operations teams with general engineering support as required.
- Liaise with wider business solutions to promote innovations in both new technology and service solutions.
- Attend and actively participate in divisional and regional technical network meetings and forums.
- Mentor apprentices and contract based technical managers in ensuring engineering best practice is exercised across the business unit.
- Carry out site technical reviews including peer reviews, due diligence and mobilisation as required.
- Support the apprenticeship and technical training program intakes to ensure development past classroom learning.
- Provide support to contracts with standardised documentation and processes that can be utilised and tailored by the site teams (i.e. Forward Maintenance Register, Risk Registers)
- Preferably be apprenticed trained engineer who has recognised technical qualifications and attained CEng or IEng registration with CIBSE, IET or IMechE and having several years’ experience of senior technical roles: Authorised Eng, HV AP Electrical 11 KV /LV, with a knowledge of Building Management Systems; Fire Alarm Systems, Pressure systems, Confined Space and General Building Services including vertical transportation.
- Understanding of business processes including safe systems of work and promotion of approved technical training providers.
- Show diligence in safe working methods both for CBRE staff and occupants of the premises worked in.
- Good communication, people, and presentation skills essential
