Monday - Friday - 9.30am - 5:30 pm

Flexible to start at 8:30 am on days mum needs to be in the office.

Salary based on experience up to £15 per hour gross.
Children's ages: 7 years old

A lovely family in Wallington are seeking a caring, patient, and proactive SEN Nanny to support their young son, who is autistic and currently learning from home.

Both parents work from home and will be present to offer guidance and support throughout the day. The family’s son no longer attends school, as it was not the right environment for him, and now receives tuition in the afternoons from professionals who visit the home. The nanny will work collaboratively alongside these professionals to create a calm, structured, and engaging environment for him.

Key Responsibilities
Provide attentive, nurturing care to the family’s son throughout the day
Support the child’s learning and development in line with the tutors' and therapists’ guidance
Encourage and participate in active, play-based learning and outdoor activities
Be observant and responsive to the child’s cues and non-verbal communication
Maintain a calm, patient, and positive atmosphere
Work collaboratively with both parents and other professionals visiting the home
Assist with outings and activities – parents will be available to accompany on trips outside the home
Working MON-WEDS with OT and SLT

About the Child
The family’s son is autistic and has difficulty with speech
He thrives with structure, calm communication, and an understanding approach
The right person will be able to read his cues and respond thoughtfully to his needs

The family are not seeking someone with formal SEN qualifications but rather someone with the right attitude and approach.

Keen to learn and adapt to the child’s individual needs and behaviours
Active, fit, and able to keep up with a busy, energetic child
A great listener and communicator
Positive, reliable, and genuinely passionate about working with children
Training provided

Requirements
Previous experience working with children (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
A driver (ideally with own car)
Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain one)
Excellent references
Right to work in the UK
