Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Location: Redbridge, East London Salary Range: £95 - £112 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: September 2025 Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Are you a patient, proactive, and passionate individual experienced in supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Remedy Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Redbridge for a long-term role starting in September 2025 .

This school is committed to nurturing students who face behavioural and emotional challenges and is looking for someone who can build strong relationships and make a real impact on their educational journey.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour.

• Work closely with pupils who have SEMH needs, helping them develop positive coping strategies and build self-regulation.

• Implement and support individual behaviour plans (IBPs), using restorative approaches and de-escalation strategies.

• Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCO, and other pastoral staff to ensure consistent and targeted interventions.

• Promote a calm, safe, and respectful learning environment that enables all pupils to thrive.

• Maintain detailed records of behaviour incidents and progress.

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or behavioural challenges.

• A strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practices, and positive behaviour support.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.

• Experience in a school or youth support setting is essential.

• A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to behavioural incidents.
