Cover Supervisor (Croydon)
We are seeking reliable, confident Cover Supervisors to support a well-established secondary school in Croydon . Ideal for local candidates able to start just after 8:00am . Perfect for aspiring teachers, graduates, or experienced cover staff seeking consistent local work.
About the role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising whole classes across KS3–KS4 using pre-prepared lesson materials
Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
Ensuring a calm, safe, and productive learning environment
Taking attendance and reporting any issues to relevant staff
Supporting students with their work where appropriate (no planning or marking required)
This role requires:
Confidence managing a classroom independently
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Reliability and punctuality, with availability to start just after 8:00am
A proactive and professional approach to school life

Requirements

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- University Degree / Studying towards a Degree
- DBS on the Update Service
