Mult-skilled Maintenance Engineer Burton upon Trent area No Sundays and only 1 in every 3 Saturdays worked. Continentals' days nights 6-6 £53,500 + Overtime + Benefits Join one of the UK's leading PLC manufacturers in a large, established manufacturing facility in Burton upon Trent area , you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving a wide range of heavy manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities - Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs across manufacturing equipment and site machinery. Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maximise production output. Maintain conveyors, mixers, batching systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors and associated plant equipment. Complete routine inspections, servicing and condition monitoring activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. Assist with installation, modification and commissioning of new machinery and equipment. Carry out fabrication and welding activities where required. Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures. Accurately record maintenance activities using the CMMS system. Work closely with production and engineering teams to support plant performance and uptime. Experience / Qualifications - Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer Mechanical maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing, heavy industry, production, recycling, aggregates, building products or similar environment. Apprentice trained, NVQ Level 3 qualified or time-served engineer. Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings and rotating equipment. Competent in core mechanical fitting and maintenance activities. Fabrication and welding experience would be advantageous. Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge would be beneficial. Previous experience using a CMMS system, ideally SAP PM. Good understanding of health, safety and environmental standards within manufacturing. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment. Continuous improvement mindset with experience supporting reliability and plant performance initiatives.
