We’re seeking a Head of QA / Head of Quality with 10+ years' experience working in software quality assurance. You will need experience of building and leading QA teams of 5+ people with associated processes.

The Head of QA will join a high-growth health tech scaleup and take on responsibility for managing and improving quality across mobile, web and data products (including infrastructure using advanced LLMs) in a heavily regulated sector.

Responsibilities:

• Improving product quality, safety and security by driving a quality agenda throughout product development, starting from the QA team
• Leading a small, growing team of QA engineers (manual and automation)
• Leading the product support process beyond Level 1, increasing the scope of the QA team within this function
• Cementing best practices within the QA team, and wider product development team, for acceptance criteria, test scenarios, test reports, JIRA data quality, and associated documentation
• Contributing to a shift left culture, improving product definition and test criteria
• Measuring and reporting on quality KPIs including bugs, regressions, change failure rate
• Working with Compliance to support quality certifications including ISO-13485, FDA and more

Requirements:

• 10+ years’ experience working within or close to digital product QA
• Demonstrable understanding of QA best practices
• Experience leading manual and automation test initiatives (Cypress)
• Experience managing manual and automation test engineers
• Successfully using QA resources as part of a product support function
• Supporting quality compliance
• Representing the quality function to senior stakeholders
