Humanities Teacher

Humanities Teacher Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time

We're looking for a passionate and committed Humanities Teacher to join a specialist independent school for students aged 11-18 who benefit from a therapeutic and nurturing setting. You will be joining a dedicated team in delivering meaningful learning experiences that help every student thrive.

You will teach engaging Humanities lessons at Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level, helping students achieve strong academic outcomes while nurturing their personal growth. This role combines subject passion with a therapeutic approach to education.

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to individual needs

• Create a supportive, well-managed classroom environment

• Track and assess student progress to inform teaching

• Enrich learning with trips and creative curriculum design

• Act as a form tutor and liaise closely with families and professionals

• Support the school's behaviour, safeguarding, and wellbeing policies

• Degree-level education in a Humanities subject

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Eligible to teach and work in the UK

• Proven ability to raise attainment

• Strong classroom management and inclusive teaching strategies

• Commitment to continuous professional development
