Patient Care Assistant
Exciting Opportunity to Join Hello Vet as a Veterinary Patient Care Assistant (PCA / ANA/ VCA)
This role is designed for people experienced in animal handling (cats and dogs)
Our Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) play a key part in delivering a calm, compassionate experience for pets and owners. As a PCA, you’ll attend to the comfort, safety and well-being of our patients. You’ll also spend a portion of your time delivering front-of-house care, handling bookings, queries and requests. This is a clinical role focused on animal handling, maintaining a clean, organised care environment and patient and client support.
Hello Vet is built upon a simple principle; We believe that if we create the best place for our team to work, we’ll also create the best place for pets to receive care. We know the best care is delivered by happy, well-supported teams who are able to build personal, collaborative relationships with their clients. That’s why we allow clients to message our team any time, and even support their pets during procedures. We aim to restore the personal bonds that should underpin a client's relationship with their vet practice.
Our clinics are purpose-built to facilitate best-in-class care, catering for the needs of the veterinary team just as much as pets and owners. With a deep commitment to our people and technology-forward approach, we’re building the next generation of general practice veterinary care.
What you can expect at Hello Vet:
A modern, bespoke clinic environment
A large, collaborative clinical team
A digital care team who are there for your patients as an added layer of support
Structured schedules that give you time to catch your breath
A growth oriented organisation constantly evolving to build a better workplace for all
Thoughtful onboarding and training
A bespoke technology platform built to reduce the time spent on admin
A vibrant, supportive culture made up of people who are all here to change veterinary medicine for the better
What you’ll receive:
£28,000 per annum
Equity within the business
Wellbeing support including free lunch and snacks, Employee Assistance Programme (EPA) and mental health first aiders
Free veterinary care for your pets and cost-price medications
You’ll be a great fit if you:
Are confident, gentle and experienced with animal handling
Are client-focused and friendly
Are reliable and detail-oriented
Have a proven passion for animals/veterinary care
Are able to work both independently and in a collaborative team
Are compassionate and calm under pressure
Have a desire to be part of a culture that’s doing things differently, to change veterinary care for the better
We are so proud of our amazing team and the outstanding care we have already delivered. For us, treating pets and people better is not just about taking care of the animals and clients; it’s also about taking care of each other and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We believe in fostering a diverse, supportive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and encouraged to grow and flourish, and this is achieved by looking out for one another and celebrating each other's successes.
