BESS System Engineer

They have the expertise and capability to deliver scalable projects efficiently and effectively, with 1GWh under construction and a substantial multi-gigawatt pipeline worldwide. As a result, they now wish to expand their highly skilled team to continue their upward trajectory.In this role, the System Engineer will perform a variety of engineering tasks for projects in development, construction and operational stages. This will involve drafting electrical designs and specifications, liaising and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders on design specifications, cooperating with internal teams and stakeholders across the globe, and supporting asset management. This role would suit a design engineer with electrical bias and proven experience working in a heavy engineering environment. You will hold a relevant engineering degree (electrical, mechanical, power etc), and it is essential that you are flexible to travel internationally as required.This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career within renewable energy, by joining a dynamic team of industry experts where you will expand your skillset and play a pivotal role in BESS infrastructure across the globe. The Role:
- Involved across full lifecycle of utility-scale BESS projects; development, construction and operations
- Develop designs, permits, and specifications, managing technical approvals
- Coordinate design with suppliers and stakeholders for effective installation and operation
- Cooperate with global teams, suppliers and stakeholders
- Report progress to senior management
- Support Asset Management team to ensure operational excellence
- Office based in London (minimum 3 days a week in office) with international travel
The Person:
- Design Engineer with electrical bias
- Experience within a power generation infrastructure or heavy manufacturing, i.e. renewables, rail, heavy machinery manufacturing
- Degree in relevant engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, power or similar)
- Commutable to central London and flexible to travel internationally when required
