We're seeking a reliable and friendly Home to School Driver to join our organization. More than just transporting students, this role is about ensuring they feel safe, supported, and valued as they begin and end each school day. As one of the first faces they see and one of the last, you’ll play a vital role in creating positive experiences for students and families.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school along designated routes.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure journeys run smoothly, efficiently, and comply with transport regulations.
- Promptly report vehicle defects, incidents, or safeguarding concerns.
- Provide friendly, professional, and reassuring service to students, families, and colleagues.
- Support ongoing safety, compliance, and day-to-day operation of the transport service.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence held for a minimum of 24 months.
- Driver CPC qualification and valid CPC card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- A flexible approach to split shifts.
- Experience within a transport, driving, or customer service role (preferred).
- A commitment to safeguarding, safety, and delivering excellent customer service.
- A calm, professional, and dependable approach with strong interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, split shifts (6:30am - 9:00am & 3:30pm - 6:00pm), Term Time
- Location: London (general area)
- Hours: 25 hours per week
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Salary: £20 per hour
