About the role and school
Teach Plus is currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistants for flexible, ad-hoc opportunities within a welcoming primary school in Westminster. Starting ASAP, these Teaching Assistant roles offer the opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), both within the classroom and on a one-to-one basis. The school is seeking reliable, proactive Teaching Assistants who can provide tailored support, encourage pupil engagement and help create a positive learning environment. Job Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEND through tailored one-to-one assistance and small-group interventions.
- Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging lessons and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Promote positive behaviour, encourage participation and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
- Help pupils develop their communication, social, emotional and academic skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to implement individual learning strategies.
- Adapt to different classroom settings and provide flexible support in response to the school's daily requirements.
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience working with children with SEND
- Minimum of 3 months UK experience working in a school setting
- Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
