Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver engaging and challenging music lessons to students across different age groups and abilities.
  • Foster and promote a positive learning environment in the classroom.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with national educational standards.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure their continuous development.
  • Inspire students' interest and passion for music through a variety of teaching methods and resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the overall improvement of the music department.
  • Actively participate in extracurricular activities, including school concerts and performances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a music teacher in a primary or secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of UK national curriculum standards for music.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage students and create a positive classroom environment.
  • Effective classroom management skills.
  • A passion for music and a commitment to nurturing students' musical talents.
