Head of AI

About bunny.net

Some people accept the internet as it is. We see what it could be.

At bunny.net, we don’t wait for change. We make it happen. You won’t find layers of red tape or play-it-safe thinking here. You’ll find people who move quickly, take ownership, and push ideas all the way to the edge. Literally.

You’ll build things that solve actual problems, not add to them.

We’re not perfect, and we don’t pretend to be. But we’re always improving. We’re looking for people who want to do the same, who take pride in their work, and aren’t afraid to challenge what’s possible.

Because everyone deserves a better internet. And we’re here to help it hop faster.

Head of AI

As Head of AI at bunny.net, you’ll define what artificial intelligence means at the edge. This is more than a leadership role. It’s a builder’s seat. From prototyping to shipping, you’ll build AI-powered features that directly improve our products and the user experience.

We’re looking for a builder with vision, someone who can ship real features, set direction, and inspire teams to push beyond what’s imaginable. You’ll champion AI across the company, not as a buzzword, but as a powerful tool to help developers deliver faster, smarter, and more resilient content.

If you’ve ever dreamed of applying intelligence at the edge of the internet to solve real problems for millions of users, and you’re excited to lead that charge, we’d love to meet you.

What will you do?

  • Build AI-powered products: Design, implement, and ship end-to-end AI and ML features that directly enhance bunny.net’s products and customer experience
  • Drive applied AI innovation: Identify where AI can create measurable customer or operational impact, from intelligent automation to developer-facing tools
  • Be hands-on with code: Prototype, train, and deploy models in production using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX. Contribute to real systems, not just strategy
  • Collaborate across product lines: Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to embed AI capabilities into core experiences across bunny.net
  • Champion responsible AI: Establish standards for privacy, ethics, transparency, and model evaluation in all AI-driven features
  • Evangelize AI across the company: Act as the bridge between leadership, engineering, and product teams, inspiring new ways to use AI responsibly and creatively
  • Mentor and grow talent: Coach engineers, nurturing technical depth and a culture of curiosity and experimentation
  • Measure success: Define and track metrics that demonstrate real-world impact, including AI initiatives, accuracy, latency, performance, and customer value

What will you add?

  • Product-first AI mindset: You see AI as a product capability, not a research experiment, and you know how to turn ideas into shipped, reliable features
  • Hands-on technical depth: You’re comfortable training models, building inference pipelines, and writing production-quality code
  • End-to-end ownership: You thrive on taking an idea from prototype to production, owning architecture, integration, testing, and iteration
  • Cross-functional influence: You can explain complex AI concepts simply, influencing leadership, engineers, and designers alike
  • Strategic storytelling: You can connect AI initiatives to business outcomes, customer experiences, and bunny.net’s long-term vision
  • Culture leadership: You inspire curiosity, bold thinking, and responsible innovation, raising the AI maturity for the entire organization

What will make us extra happy?

  • Experience building AI-powered products: Proven track record of delivering features that use AI or ML in production, not just prototypes or research
  • Full-stack fluency: Comfortable working across backend, data, and application layers to ship AI-driven functionality end to end
  • MLOps or deployment expertise: Strong understanding of model lifecycle, inference performance, and continuous delivery for ML systems
  • Edge or distributed AI experience: Familiarity with deploying models efficiently across distributed or latency-sensitive environments
  • Open-source mindset: Contributions to or engagement with the AI/ML community through OSS, research, or content
  • Evangelism & communication: A passion for teaching and inspiring, whether through internal demos, talks, or community engagement
  • Startup adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing experimentation with shipping meaningful results quickly
