DescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker specialized in supporting children with disabilities to join our dynamic team. In this fulfilling role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the lives of children with disabilities and their families by providing tailored support services. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess the needs of children, develop personalized care plans, and facilitate access to vital resources and services. Your expertise will help advocate for children’s rights and ensure that they receive the best possible care and opportunities for development. Additionally, you will provide emotional support and counseling to families, helping them navigate the challenges they face. You will engage in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about the needs of children with disabilities and foster a supportive network for families. This role requires a deep commitment to social justice, as well as the ability to build trusting relationships with children and their families. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities to identify their needs and strengths.
Develop and implement individual service plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Provide direct counseling and emotional support services to children and their families.
Advocate for the rights and needs of children with disabilities within the community and educational systems.
Facilitate access to medical, educational, and social services for children and families.
Monitor progress and effectiveness of support services, adjusting plans as necessary.
Conduct workshops and training sessions for parents and caregivers on best practices and resources available.
Requirements
Master's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
Current state licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW or equivalent preferred).
Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
Strong assessment and intervention skills, particularly in child development and disability services.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding children with disabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and engage in community partnerships. Hours Per Week: 35.00

End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Annum: £42,771.00
