About the Role

Are you a passionate and creative SEN Teacher looking for a role where you can truly make a difference?

At Brick Lane School, you'll have the opportunity to transform the lives of children and young people with additional needs by delivering engaging, personalised learning that helps every pupil achieve more than they ever thought possible.

This is more than a teaching role. It's a chance to work in a specialist setting where relationships come first, small class sizes allow you to focus on every learner, and you'll have the time, support and freedom to teach in a way that makes a genuine impact.

Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll create an inclusive, nurturing environment where pupils build confidence, develop independence and rediscover a love of learning. Every achievement is celebrated, every day is different, and your work will have a lasting impact on the futures of the young people you teach.

Whether you're an experienced SEN Teacher or looking to bring your skills into specialist education, you'll join a welcoming team that values collaboration, innovation and continuous professional development.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that inspire pupils and enable them to achieve meaningful progress.
  • Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs, supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally.
  • Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour plans and personalised learning pathways.
  • Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, using assessment to inform future learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour through nurturing, relationship-based approaches that build confidence and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, holistic support.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued and able to succeed.
  • Champion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, ensuring every child has the opportunity to flourish.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or complex needs (desirable).
  • Has experience in EYFS and using multi-sensory teaching approaches (desirable).
  • Is creative, patient and adaptable, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential.
  • Thrives as part of a collaborative team and is keen to continue developing professionally.

Join Brick Lane School and become part of a team where your expertise is valued, your wellbeing matters, and every day brings the opportunity to change a young person's future.
