Risk Developer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain real-time risk systems for PnL tracking, VaR and exposure calculations, dashboards, analytical tools, alerting, and monitoring.
• Own deployment, CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure, environment management, observability, and incident response for risk applications.
• Improve system reliability, performance, availability, low latency, and stability during market hours.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and debugging.
• Develop applications integrating LLM APIs for automation, analysis, and workflow improvements.
• Build responsive frontend interfaces for visualizing and interacting with risk metrics.
• Collaborate with risk developers, quantitative analysts, and market risk analysts to implement financial models.
• Write clean, documented, and tested code and participate in code reviews and design discussions.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional full-stack development experience; financial industry or proprietary trading experience is preferred.
• Strong Python proficiency for data processing, backend logic, and model integration.
• DevOps experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Linux administration, and monitoring or logging tools; Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code experience are a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants, agentic development workflows, and applying them safely and effectively.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs, including prompt design, tool or function calling, and evaluation.
• Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and/or NoSQL stores such as Redis.
• Understanding of data structures, APIs, and real-time data processing, plus familiarity with real-time data visualization.
• Exposure to quantitative models or collaboration with quants is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
