We engage directly with finance and other accounting teams to explain differences between actuals and plan in a clear, straightforward way. We also offer a competitive benefits package to support your well-being and growth! This role is for someone who enjoys developing people and making sense of the story behind the numbers!

A day in the life of an Accounting Manager on the Segment Controllership team:

  • Own the close process within your area, including reviewing accounting entries, balance verifications, and supporting analyses
  • Review financial results and clearly explain key drivers behind deviations from actuals to plan
  • Apply accounting standards under US GAAP alongside company policies, and support the review of technical accounting topics as needed
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company reporting requirements

Audit & SOX

  • Handle internal and external audit support, including preparation of audit documentation in response to auditor inquiries
  • Implement recommendations and mitigation plans in response audit findings and outcomes
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of SOX controls and address any identified deficiencies

Cross Functional Teamwork

  • We work closely with regional Commercial Finance teams to understand business activity and how accounting policies apply
  • We connect Commercial Finance and Technical Accounting, helping information flow clearly and questions get resolved quickly

Team Management

  • Lead and support a team of accounting professionals, building a strong connection between business operations and accounting outcomes
  • Develop the team’s understanding of how day-to-day activities translate into accounting results and align with accounting standards
  • Find opportunities to standardize and automate processes end-to-end, while guiding the team to adopt and improve these ways of working
  • Provide mentorship and regular feedback to help team members build skills and grow in their roles

What you’ll bring:

  • 7+ years of dynamic accounting and finance experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred)
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance; IFRS familiarity is a plus
  • Experience with large ERP systems (SAP and/or Blackline preferred)
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with equivalent experience considered; CPA, ACA, or ACCA preferred
  • Ability to lead and develop others, build strong working relationships, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with validated judgment and the ability to clearly connect financial results to business activity
