Mobile Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias and Mechanical Bias) (London/Greater London)
Job Overview:
Provide first response and self-delivery of maintenance and engineering services for the MSD maintenance contract portfolio. Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive, and quoted works per service level agreements. Supervise subcontractors when needed and identify additional work requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a safe working environment. Be available for overtime and call-outs.
Main Duties:
Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on building services assets following contract specs and safety procedures.
Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults; complete repairs or advise on next steps.
Monitor equipment to maintain service continuity and manage spare parts procurement.
Conduct dynamic risk assessments and ensure clean, safe, and organized work areas.
Maintain tools, hazardous materials, waste disposal, and critical spares per regulations.
Review and advise on maintenance procedures; update documentation via CAFM platform.
Assist in creating standard and emergency operating procedures.
Maintain communication with service desk, supervisors, and clients.
Comply with company policies and report incidents or near misses.
Requirements:
Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (e.g., C&G Level 3, ONC/HNC, NVQ Level 3, or recognized apprenticeship).
2+ years experience in building services maintenance.
Skilled in electrical/mechanical maintenance and IT.
Full driving licence.
Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and during unsociable hours.
