Chief of Staff - CTO
At Virgin Media O2 , technology is at the heart of everything we do, and our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is driving the strategy that keeps us ahead. We’re looking for a highly motivated, strategic, and commercially savvy Chief of Staff to partner with the CTO and the wider technology leadership team!
In this pivotal role, you’ll combine critical thinking, operational excellence, and executive advisory to assist the CTO in prioritizing key aspects. You’ll act as a trusted partner, driving alignment across the technology function, ensuring effective governance, and representing the CTO in key internal and external engagements.
You’ll translate ambitious goals into clear, actionable initiatives, oversee the operating rhythm of the CTO organisation, and provide high-quality insights to support executive decision-making. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business and shareholders, balancing priorities, budgets, and resources, while helping shape the CTO’s external voice through thought leadership and engagement.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment, enjoys influencing at the highest levels, and takes pride in enabling a high-performing technology organisation to deliver its most impactful work.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Proven experience in technology, strategy, operations, or executive communications.
- Strong commercial foresight and understanding of business drivers.
- Proven ability to influence at senior levels and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams).
- Experience with digital collaboration tools and agile ways of working.
- Ability to work with integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.
