Reinsurance Marine Actuary - Gallagher Re – London (City)

Your Role:


• Join Gallagher Re's dynamic Marine Division as a Reinsurance Actuary, where you'll blend actuarial expertise with client-facing interactions.
• This unique position places you at the forefront of our Marine Actuary team, representing Gallagher Re both in London and on a global scale.

• Engage with diverse clients across various accounts, driving impactful relationships.
• Integrate diverse data projects from broking and analytical teams into a cohesive framework.
• Extract and leverage key insights from our extensive global data sets.
• Collaborate with brokers and clients to identify essential data metrics for reinsurance contracts and foster client trust.
• Partner with senior brokers to ensure their analytical needs are met.
• Facilitate the widespread sharing and accessibility of analytics within the broking community.
• Oversee large-scale projects, including RFPs and renewals.
• Lead the analytical component of client pitches, showcasing our expertise.
• Cultivate strong analytical relationships with ceded reinsurance teams.
• Mentor and develop junior colleagues, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

About You

Your Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:


• Passionate about developing and embedding a robust data/analytic strategy for the Marine division.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to apply mathematical and actuarial concepts in a dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in database management.
• Quick, creative, and accurate data processing and interpretation skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
