About the team and the role:

Accenture's Microsoft Business Group (MBG) UK is seeking a technically exceptional Microsoft Power Platform Senior Developer at Level 8 (Associate Manager) to join our growing delivery capability. This role sits at the technical heart of our Power Platform practice - combining deep hands-on development expertise with emerging team leadership responsibility across high-value client engagements.

As a Senior Developer at Level 8, you will be the go-to technical authority on Power Platform delivery teams, driving solution quality, architectural integrity, and developer best practices. You will work alongside Delivery Managers and Solution Architects on complex enterprise programmes, whilst beginning to take on line management and mentoring responsibilities for junior developers.

This role is ideal for a highly experienced Power Platform developer who has a proven delivery track record in a consulting or SI environment and is ready to step into a formal leadership and technical governance role within one of the world's largest Microsoft practices.

What you will do in the role of a Senior Developer:

Technical Delivery & Development

• Design, build, and deliver complex Power Platform solutions across Power Apps (model-driven and canvas), Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse for enterprise clients

• Lead technical delivery across one or more workstreams within large Power Platform programmes, taking end-to-end ownership of solution components

• Develop advanced solutions utilising PCF (PowerApps Component Framework) controls, custom connectors, and complex Dataverse data models

• Architect and implement ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Power Platform Build Tools

• Build and maintain integrations with D365 CE, M365, Azure services, and third-party platforms using REST APIs, OData, Azure Service Bus, and Logic Apps

• Ensure all developed solutions adhere to Microsoft Well-Architected Framework principles and Accenture delivery quality standards

Architecture & Technical Governance

• Contribute to solution architecture design, including data model design, security architecture, and integration patterns

• Conduct and lead technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assurance sessions

• Establish and enforce Power Platform coding standards, naming conventions, and development best practices across the team

• Implement and manage Power Platform CoE (Centre of Excellence) Toolkit configurations, including environment strategy, DLP policies, and governance frameworks

• Provide technical risk assessments and mitigation recommendations to Delivery Managers and Solution Architects

• Evaluate and recommend emerging Power Platform capabilities including AI Builder, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Copilot integrations

Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Line manage 2-5 junior and mid-level Power Platform developers, including objective setting, performance reviews, and career development conversations

• Provide day-to-day technical mentoring and guidance to developers, acting as the first point of escalation for technical blockers

• Onboard new team members and ensure consistent application of delivery standards across the developer community

• Contribute to the MBG UK Power Platform community of practice through knowledge sharing, technical blogs, and internal enablement sessions

• Support the identification and recruitment of Power Platform talent in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage confidently with client technical leads and senior stakeholders to present solution designs, demonstrate prototypes, and manage technical expectations

• Lead technical workshops, requirements discovery sessions, and solution walkthroughs with client teams

• Support pre-sales activities including technical solutioning, effort estimation, and proposal contributions

• Participate in client steering groups and technical governance forums as the senior technical voice for Power Platform delivery

Quality & Innovation

• Champion test-driven development practices including unit testing, automated UI testing (Test Studio), and performance testing for Power Platform solutions

• Drive continuous improvement in delivery tooling, developer productivity, and reusable component libraries

• Identify and prototype AI-augmented development capabilities including Copilot in Power Apps, AI Builder models, and Copilot Studio agents

• Contribute to Accenture IP development through reusable accelerators, solution templates, and internal tooling

Qualification

We are looking for significant experience in:
Core Power Platform Development

• Hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development experience in a consulting or SI delivery environment

• Expert-level proficiency in Power Apps (both model-driven and canvas), Power Automate (cloud flows, desktop flows/RPA), and Dataverse

• Proven experience developing PCF controls using TypeScript/React and deploying via managed solutions

• Strong command of Power Fx, DAX (for Power BI integration), and JavaScript/TypeScript for web resource and PCF development

• Deep experience with Dataverse: complex data modelling, relationships, business rules, calculated fields, rollup fields, and virtual tables

• Hands-on experience with Power Pages (formerly Power Apps Portals) including Liquid templates, web templates, and portal security

ALM, DevOps & Integration

• Expert knowledge of Power Platform ALM: solution management (managed/unmanaged), environment strategy, solution layering, and deployment pipelines

• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions with Power Platform Build Tools and PAC CLI

• Strong integration development experience: REST/OData APIs, Dataverse Web API, custom connectors, Azure API Management, and Azure Service Bus

• Experience with Azure services in a Power Platform context: Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Key Vault, and Azure AD/Entra ID

• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 CE customisation: plugins (C#/.NET), JavaScript web resources, Ribbon Workbench, and XrmToolBox

Architecture & Governance

• Experience designing enterprise-grade Power Platform governance frameworks including DLP policies, CoE Toolkit deployment, and environment tiering

• Understanding of Microsoft security and compliance model: Azure AD Conditional Access, Dataverse RBAC, column-level security, and auditing

• Ability to produce and own technical design documentation including solution architecture documents, data flow diagrams, and integration specifications

• Familiarity with Power Platform licensing models and capacity planning for enterprise deployments

Consulting & Communication

• Proven ability to engage and communicate confidently with technical and non-technical client stakeholders

• Experience in a professional services, consulting, or SI environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Experience producing client-facing deliverables: technical design documents, solution architecture presentations, and sprint reviews

What will set you apart:

• Experience with Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents): agent design, topic authoring, and integration with enterprise data sources
• Hands-on experience with AI Builder: document processing models, prediction models, and object detection

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Power BI Premium in a data platform context

• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Business Central in a Power Platform integration context

• Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Purview, or Compliance Manager in regulated industry deployments

• Experience delivering Power Platform solutions in Financial Services, Insurance, Energy, or Public Sector verticals in the UK

• Knowledge of Avanade co-delivery models and ATCI offshore development engagement practices

• Experience contributing to Microsoft FastTrack for Power Platform or Microsoft Success by Design programmes

Essential Certifications

• PL-400 : the primary technical developer credential - validates advanced development skills including PCF controls, custom connectors, and Power Automate. Mandatory for this role

• PL-600 : Solution Architect designation - expected at Level 8 to confirm ability to own solution design and technical governance on complex programmes

• PL-200 : functional consultant credential that complements PL-400 by validating business process and configuration depth across the Power Platform suite

• AI-200 / AI-103 : Microsoft's new 2026 developer certifications for AI-integrated cloud apps and Copilot Studio agent development - central to MBG's AI Copilot go-to-market

• AI-901 : mandatory AI literacy baseline across all MBG UK roles - covers generative AI, Azure AI services, and Copilot platform concepts

• AZ-400 : validates DevOps engineering skills including CI/CD pipeline design and Power Platform Build Tools - strongly recommended for developers owning ALM
