About the role
As a Europe BDR Team Operations Lead, you will take on a pivotal "player-coach" role, blending the responsibilities of a Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) with operational leadership for the local BDR team. In this dual role, you will continue to drive new business opportunities by prospecting, generating leads, and setting meetings with potential clients within the company’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), while also mentoring and supporting your local BDR colleagues to optimize team performance. You will ensure alignment with global strategies, oversee local KPIs, and foster a high-energy, collaborative team culture without formal managerial responsibilities. This role requires a balance of individual contribution, operational oversight, and team coaching to drive both personal and team success in the assigned market.
What you’ll be doing
Individual Contributor Responsibilities as a Senior BDR:
Prospecting and lead generation: Engage mid-market and enterprise clients through phone, email, LinkedIn, social media, store visits, events, and other channels to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
Pipeline management: Build and manage a personal pipeline of prospects, consistently meeting reduced outbound activity targets (calls, emails, social outreach) to ensure a steady flow of meetings and opportunities.
Stakeholder engagement: Establish contact with key stakeholders, articulate how our solutions align with their needs and use cases, and set meetings with quality stakeholders for Account Executives (AEs).
Qualification: Use the MEDDPICC framework to qualify leads, uncover pain points, and identify metric proof points to support opportunity development.
CRM excellence: Ensure accurate and timely entry of opportunity and contact information in Salesforce for seamless handoff to AEs.
Collaboration: Work closely with AEs, Solutions Engineers, and the Marketing team to convert prospects into qualified opportunities and align with regional campaigns.
Industry awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer challenges in the EMEA market, adapting messaging to highlight competitor strengths and weaknesses.
Event participation: Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to engage prospects and expand the company’s network.
Team Operations Lead responsibilities:
Team enablement and coaching:
Mentor local BDRs, providing guidance on messaging, prospecting techniques, and best practices to enhance individual and team performance.
Run daily standups, pipeline reviews, and call coaching sessions to provide real-time feedback and support.
Foster a collaborative environment by sharing expertise and helping peers overcome challenges.
Process execution:
Ensure the local BDR team adheres to global best practices and playbooks for prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management.
Oversee territory assignments, account prioritization, and lead routing to optimize efficiency and alignment with regional goals.
Optimize local workflows, including scheduling, CRM hygiene (e.g., accurate data entry in Salesforce), and reporting processes.
Own local team KPIs, including calls made, meetings booked, and pipeline created, ensuring alignment with both global and country-specific OKRs.
Track activity and conversion rates against goals, providing regular updates to your manager on team performance.
Collaboration with internal stakeholders:
Partner with local AE leadership to ensure smooth lead handoffs and alignment with sales priorities.
Align BDR efforts with regional sales and marketing campaigns, providing feedback to Marketing on local lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
Motivation & culture:
Act as a bridge between global strategy and local execution, ensuring consistent messaging and processes, in alignment with your manager.
Promote a positive and collaborative team environment by encouraging teamwork, sharing best practices, and celebrating collective wins.
Organize team contests and initiatives to maintain high energy and engagement.
Support BDRs in aligning their efforts with team goals, reinforcing a sense of purpose and progress.
Promote a positive, high-energy team culture that encourages collaboration and accountability.
What you’ll bring to the team
Proven track record as a high-performing BDR or Senior BDR, with experience meeting or exceeding quotas for lead generation and pipeline creation.
Experience in B2B sales, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment, engaging mid-market and enterprise clients.
Familiarity with the local market, including industry trends and competitive landscape.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences and build rapport with stakeholders.
Proficiency in using Salesforce for CRM management and pipeline tracking.
Expertise in the MEDDPICC qualification framework or similar methodologies.
Ability to coach and mentor peers, providing actionable feedback and fostering professional growth.
Strong organizational skills to balance individual contributor responsibilities with operational oversight.
Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Proactive problem-solver with a data-driven approach to optimizing workflows and achieving KPIs.
What is it for you?
We promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle with flexible work hours and latest tools, enhanced vacation allowance, gym membership contribution, and last but not least, you will have the chance to participate in our well-known yearly ugly Xmas sweater competition!
