Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality music education to students across different year groups, catering to their individual needs and abilities.
• Plan and implement engaging and interactive lessons that adhere to the national curriculum and school policies.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods such as regular assessments and formative feedback.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity and encourages student participation.
• Organize and lead extracurricular music activities, such as choir, orchestra, and school productions.
• Collaborate with colleagues and actively contribute to the school's music department, including attending regular departmental meetings and sharing best practices.
• Establish effective communication channels with parents and provide regular updates on students' progress and achievements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field. PGCE in Music Education is highly desirable.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience teaching music to primary or secondary school students.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for music and ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire students to excel in music.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and practices in music education.
