As our new IT Apprentice, you’ll be the first point of contact for employees across the business—both in the office and out in the field. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies while helping keep our systems running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support for hardware and software queries raised through our IT Help Desk
- Support users on key systems including ERP, Office 365, Azure, Intune, CRM, SharePoint, FSM, VPN, telephone systems, mobile devices and printing
- Keep users updated and ensure all helpdesk tickets are resolved or escalated efficiently
- Work with external support partners to resolve more complex technical issues
- Set up new user workstations and support desk moves, including cabling and hardware configuration
- Deliver friendly, easy-to-understand training on tools like MS Office, Teams, SharePoint and our phone systems
- Assist with backup management—monitoring logs, updating records and escalating issues
- Manage user accounts across systems such as Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, Office 365 and others, including account closure and mailbox archiving
You’ll be supported every step of the way by experienced IT professionals who are invested in your development.

Salary: £16,432 per annum
Working hours: 39.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 5pm, Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.
Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.
On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
