Head of Maths- Academic school in Camden- September start

As the Head of Maths, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the Mathematics department, ensuring that our students receive a comprehensive and engaging curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring the delivery of an outstanding Maths curriculum
• Provide strategic direction and support to Maths teachers, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Evaluate and monitor student progress and achievements in Maths
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
• Mentor and guide Maths teachers, fostering their professional growth and development
• Contribute to the school's Maths program and extracurricular activities
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, Specialization in Mathematics or a related field, Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (preferred), Significant experience teaching Mathematics, preferably in a leadership role, Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team, Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, with the ability to deliver outstanding lessons, Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up with the latest developments in Mathematics education
