Nursery Room Leader
Location: South East London – SE6
Salary: £33,800 per annum

Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Nursery Room Leader to oversee one of their early years rooms. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate childcare professional to lead a dedicated team while delivering exceptional standards of care and education. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your room, ensuring children receive the highest quality learning experiences while maintaining full compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements. Role Responsibilities: Lead the daily operation of an early years room, creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s development in line with the EYFS framework.
Support, mentor, and develop nursery practitioners within your room.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers.
Complete observations, assessments, and learning records to monitor children’s progress.
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed.
Maintain high standards of organisation, cleanliness, and compliance.
Work collaboratively with the wider management team to deliver outstanding childcare. Candidate Requirements: Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification (essential).
Confident written and spoken English.
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
Leadership or supervisory experience within a nursery environment is desirable.
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding best practices.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
