Senior Assistant Producer, Social
The role of the Senior Assistant Producer - Social is to contribute to the production of market leading social-first and YouTube-focused sports video content. The role also requires collaboration and communication with the Social Media Publishing Hub, Sky Sports Digital as well as more widely with Sky Sports News and Sky Sports Content teams. Reporting to the Senior Producer - Branded and Bespoke Content, this is a key role that will ensure Sky Sports is the sports media brand of choice for U35s and female audiences, whilst creating revenue opportunities and supporting Sky Sports' overarching business objectives What you'll do
- Produce & edit high-quality sports video content for YouTube and other social platforms.
- Lead planning and production of multi-camera, high profile shoots with elite sports talent.
- Contribute new ideas and propositions to ensure Sky Sports can reach diverse & varied audiences.
- Lead planning and production of existing and new social-first strands, including ideation, pre-production and post-production.
- Maintain a good knowledge of current sporting trends, stories and rival publishers.
- Mentor junior members of the Content Production. supporting their development in production, ideation and editing techniques
- Liaise with key stakeholders across Sky and its rights partners to deliver engaging content of the highest standard.
- Support Sky and Sky Sports in the promotion of "Force for Good" initiatives.
- Highly motivated and creative with the ability to display editorial judgement.
- In-depth knowledge of YouTube & social platforms, with experience producing content tailored for social audiences.
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders on productions
- Ability to work effectively & lead others under pressure, react quickly and meet tight deadlines in all live environments.
- Proficient using Premiere Pro & Adobe suite and experience using YouTube's CMS and Analytics tools.
- Able to readily embrace new technology and change.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines.
- A great teammate, believing in collaboration, adaptability and initiative.
- A calm, organised and methodical approach to work with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Understanding of budgets, business priorities, and relationships with stakeholders.
