Live-in Nanny
A family based in Chelsea are seeking to recruit an energetic and experienced Nanny to support their busy family household.
Duties include:
- Preparation and planning fun and engaging activities to entertain the children, including lots of time outdoors – the children have very little screen time
- Ensuring the children have all they need ready for their busy school days – prepared in advance to avoid any rushing
- Basic household chores relating to the children
- Travel and packing
- Wardrobe management for the children
- Management of the children’s calendars
- Preparation of light and healthy family style meals when the Chef is not available
- Building relationships outside of the family home with other parents and nannies – proactive in arranging play dates for both children and being involved in the school community
- Liaising with the Chef regarding the children’s meals and diets – as well as other members of household staff – working harmoniously with all
- Ad hoc duties and errands relating to the children
- The children requiring care are a girl, age 5 and a boy, age 6. You will be working in harmony with another Nanny, sharing the duties and ensuring everything runs smoothly regarding the children, whilst of course keeping the parents very much in the loop, building a strong collaboration.
The principal is keen to have a nanny with an ex-teaching background, the reason being is that she doesn't want her children to be over tutored, but she does want them to continue to thrive within the school environment. This is especially important during school holidays, where the children can have the opportunity to be creative and practice the skills they are learning in the classroom.
Candidate requirements:
- Knowledge of the private school systems would be advantageous
- Experienced working within a fully staffed residence
- Professional but approachable and friendly – prioritising the family’s privacy
- Awareness and knowledge of gentle parenting – the candidate should be a firm, calm presence
- Able to communicate effectively – spoken and written
- Knowledge of children’s nutrition to ensure they have a well-balanced, healthy diet
- Creative – able to come up with various new activities to ensure the children are stimulated with adventures that encourage their development
- The parents need someone who thrives from being in a fast-paced family and who enjoys working in a busy home and can take initiative. You need to be reliable, kind and set positive clear boundaries for the children who enjoy structure and routine which is already in place. Someone who is adaptable as all the children have a busy schedule and need you to be able to manage your time well and be a self-starter
Working days: 5 days per week, including alternate weekends. 2 nights of babysitting per week.
Working hours: 7.00am – 7.00pm.
Accommodation: 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment in Battersea – shared with the other Nanny
Salary: £65,000+ gross per annum, dependent on experience
