JOB DETAILSRole Overview:

Flexible hybrid role, aligned to one of our offices in Maidstone, London, Lincoln, Bromsgrove, Warrington, or Bristol, with regular UK-wide travel to other sites and key client locations.

The Sales Director will play a central part in Apogee’s commercial strategy, leading a high-performing sales division delivering workplace and IT service solutions. You will guide overall sales direction, develop leadership capability within the team, and strengthen Apogee’s market presence. The portfolio includes multi-brand service propositions supported by the global capabilities of HP Inc..

We are seeking an individual who combines the agility of an SME mindset with the operational discipline gained from larger corporate environments. This role requires a leader who can build effective sales structure, drive performance at scale, and develop capability across the team. It is not a player-manager position.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and exceed annual gross profit targets.

Lead and develop Sales Managers, embedding a culture of accountability, high performance, and commercial focus.

Build and maintain relationships with senior and executive-level stakeholders across key customer accounts.

Understand customer environments and deliver tailored, high-value workplace and IT service solutions.

Define and execute divisional sales strategy aligned with organisational objectives.

Drive pipeline creation, forecasting accuracy, deal quality, and disciplined execution across the sales function.

Interpret market and competitor insights to shape strategy and commercial positioning.

Lead quarterly business reviews and ensure strategic account planning across major accounts.

Represent Apogee at executive level within sector-focused forums, events, and customer engagements.

Establish and maintain the sales structure needed to support sustainable growth and team success.

A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Proven background working within a Managed IT Service Provider.

Extensive experience in commercial account management, consultative B2B sales, and managing complex deal cycles.

Track record of meeting and exceeding sales and gross profit targets.

Demonstrable leadership experience, managing Sales Managers or equivalent teams.

Ability to engage and influence C-level stakeholders.

Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and experience in forecasting and pipeline management.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Customer-centric, strategic, and results-driven with the ability to translate vision into action.
