About the department

The Facilities team plays a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and high-quality environment for our patients, guests and colleagues. Working behind the scenes and alongside our clinical teams, Facilities helps ensure our centres run smoothly, efficiently and to the high standards our patients expect from Welbeck.

From maintaining the presentation of our spaces and supporting housekeeping, to portering, stores, supplies, laundry and waste management, the team provides the essential services that keep our centres operating safely and effectively.

It’s a hands-on, collaborative function where everyone plays an important part. The team takes pride in being proactive, responsive and willing to go the extra mile to support both our clinical and operational teams and deliver an exceptional patient experience.

About the role

As the Facilities Associate at Welbeck, you’ll play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming and well-presented environment for our patients, guests and clinical teams.

Working across both patient facing and back of house areas, you’ll support the smooth day to day running of the centre. From providing portering support within clinical areas and moving supplies and laundry, to managing waste and maintaining refreshment areas, this is a varied and dynamic role.

You’ll work closely with the Facilities and Housekeeping teams, taking pride in the details that help us deliver a consistently high-quality patient and guest experience.

Overview of key responsibilities:

• Move supplies, stores and laundry safely and efficiently between departments.

• Ensure waste is removed from the building regularly and appropriately.

• Maintain clean, tidy and well-stocked refreshment stations.

• Help ensure clinical, patient and back-of-house areas are maintained to a high standard.

• Contribute to a first-class patient and guest experience through a professional, proactive approach.

About you

You’re a reliable and conscientious person. You’ll be comfortable working in a busy environment, adapting to changing priorities and assisting wherever support is needed.

You’ll use your own initiative, and be proactive, while understanding the importance of working safely and respectfully within a healthcare environment.

As this is a patient facing role, you’ll be a confident and approachable communicator who understands the importance of treating patients and guests with dignity, discretion and respect.
