Female Facilities Manager

About the role:

We are looking for a proactive, motivated and resourceful Female Facilities Manager who will ensure the organisation has in place the optimum facilities to support the necessary locations and working environment and to ensure future needs are met. The successful candidate will oversee Health & Safety at all offices and ensure that accommodation standards and Health and Safety practice is adhered to in our accommodation-based services. Full management and administration of office-related contracts and services.

What we are looking for in our ideal Female Facilities Manager:

• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and the ability to carry out health and safety checks.
• A minimum of 3 years proven experience working at a similar level.
• Proven experience of management/supervision of office administration environment and of staff.
• Numeracy and literacy to Supervisor/Manager level.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills, ability to prioritise workloads; work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to use IT packages to support and train others where necessary.
• Ability to use, create and develop computerised record systems using database packages.
• Ability to work on own initiative, unsupervised where necessary, meet deadlines and take responsible action in the absence of Senior Manager.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to people at all levels.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and ability to carry out Health and Safety checks.
• Proven knowledge of training and supervising staff.
• Excellent team player with influencing and motivational skills.
• Knowledge of setting up and maintaining facilities contracts.
• Knowledge of lease documentation and requirements.
• Ability to gather and collate information and present it in an appropriate format.
• An understanding of equality and diversity issues, and a commitment to putting equality principles into practice.
• A current, full driving licence and access to an appropriate vehicle is essential as this role includes travel throughout Bristol and surrounding areas.
