The Sexual Health and HIV service has three Service Delivery Managers, this role will be based at Camberwell Sexual Health Clinic but the post holder will be required to support the wider service at both Denmark Hill and Beckenham Beacon as required during times of absence.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual, who is able to effectively manage their time and workload, to meet deadlines in a busy environment with competing demands on their time. They should have excellent communication and customer service skills, IT experience and the ability to provide a high-quality and efficient service to outpatient users.
Main duties of the job
The Service Delivery Manager for the Sexual Health Clinic at King's College Hospital plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional patient care and efficient clinic operations. This position involves strategic planning, staff management, and continuous improvement of services to meet the dynamic needs of the community.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sexual Health Clinic, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of services.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to optimize workflow and enhance patient care.
Implement and monitor protocols for safety and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Manage clinic resources, including staffing, budgets, and equipment, to ensure efficient use and availability.
Drive initiatives for service improvement and innovation, incorporating patient feedback and latest healthcare practices.
Foster a patient-centered culture, enhancing the overall patient experience and satisfaction.
Lead and develop a diverse team, providing training and support to nurture professional growth.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated care pathways and partnerships.
Analyse service delivery data to identify trends and make informed decisions for clinic enhancements.
Address and resolve any issues related to service delivery, patient complaints, or staff concerns.
Exercise delegated authority on behalf of the Service Manager/Assistant Service Manager to resolve day-to-day management issues within the Sexual Health & HIV Department
Take responsibility for the administrative and secretarial support within the department.
Support the Service Manager in improving performance in key areas and achieving quality clinical services in line with the Care Group and Trust’s service strategy
To ensure the production of the sexual health rota in advance and that adequate cover are put in place for each staff during sickness and absence
Effectively manage own time, prioritising workload demands and demonstrating flexibility according to current resources
To attend any relevant service meetings meetings, and ensure administrative support is available to take minutes if required and ensure action plans are tracked and delivered.
Be the first point of contact for queries from community pharmacies, internal and external stakeholders, resolving queries where possible and escalating to the Service Manager, when required, in a timely manner
Develop improvements to the scheme to drive efficiencies and improve patient offer
Prepare high quality presentational materials for use at meetings/workshops including pre prepared reports, hand-outs and PowerPoint presentations in liaison with line manager
Use a variety of methods, including oral, written and electronic, to communicate information to internal and external stakeholders.
Lead on monitoring and updating necessary outreach marketing material, working with Social Media Lead and Corporate Comms teams to amend and further develop social media channels, the website and physical comms content as required
Provide support in the development and collation of information for KPI reporting, including monitoring and evaluation of all programmes
Be responsible for and use excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and build relationships with community pharmacists, GPs and other internal and external stakeholders as required.
Overall management responsibility for the administrative / secretarial and outreach worker team including all line management responsibilities e.g. sickness, annual leave.
Support Admin Team Lead with the day-to-day rota management of clinical staff and take timely action to minimise the impact of any staff shortage on service delivery.

Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
Experience
Essential criteria
- A demonstrable capacity and capability for operational/clinical service management including staff management, financial management and change management.
- Excellent computer literacy, ability to use MS Word and Excel to a high standard including data collection, analysis, report production using pivot tables and use of score cards
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of delivering specialist sexual health training programmes to professionals
Skills and knowledge
Essential criteria
- Strong communication skills including the ability to relate and communicate with patients and stakeholders
- Ability to present confidently and engagingly
- Ability to prepare and present report writing skills
- Excellent IT skills (word, Excel, Powerpoint, online databases and specific software)
