Finance & Strategy Senior Associate

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Finance team shapes the company's future by directing capital to high-impact investments, developing robust financial strategies, and ensuring we deliver long-term value while pursuing our ambitious mission.

We’re looking for a Finance & Strategy Senior Associate to join our London team. In this role, you’ll work with partners across Deliveroo to ensure we are making efficient, data-driven decisions that evaluate the effectiveness of our products and unlock new avenues for growth.

Get to know our Finance team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Finance & Strategy team. We accelerate the growth of our business by implementing new opportunities and solutions, partnering across the company to improve the profitability and scalability of our business model.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Consumer Product Impact: Evaluate the effectiveness of high-impact consumer products at scale and develop creative growth strategies.

  • Strategic Modelling: Build custom financial models tailored to specific business needs to improve high-stakes strategic decision-making.

  • Framework Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new investment decision-making frameworks and processes in a fast-paced environment.

  • KPI Analysis: Track and analyse key business and financial KPIs, uncovering trends to assess risks and future opportunities.

  • Operational Scaling: Lead special projects to automate and scale reporting tools, investment frameworks, and cost-tracking methodologies.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • Strategic Finance Background: Significant experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking, ideally within the high-growth technology sector.

  • Advanced Modelling Skills: High proficiency in Excel with a proven ability to build robust financial models and perform complex analyses.

  • Data Fluency: Proficiency in SQL (or a strong willingness to learn) to manipulate large data sets and uncover hidden insights.

  • Commercial Mindset: Strong understanding of budget management and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational value.

  • Adaptability: Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, evolving environment that values autonomy and ownership.

Why Join Us?

At Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters, solving real-world problems in a three-sided marketplace that’s constantly evolving. We’re food lovers, problem solvers, community builders and more, brought together by a shared drive to make things better. Working here you can expect to:

At Deliveroo, we know that a great workplace reflects the world around us and that true diversity and inclusion make us stronger, more creative, and better at what we do. We’re committed to fostering an environment where everyone can do their best work and feel they belong.

We believe in equality of opportunity and welcome candidates from all backgrounds regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic background, religion, or belief.

If you have a disability or long-term health condition and need support to apply for one of our roles, or require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know once you’ve submitted your application. We’ll share details on how to request support so we can ensure you have a fair and equitable experience.
